Dr. Jerome Roth received his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 1966. Roth served as a professor of Chemistry at Northern Michigan University from 1968 until 1997. He also served as head of the Department of Chemistry from 1994 until his retirement. Roth was very instrumental in the establishment of the American Association of University Professors as the collective bargaining agent for the faculty at Northern Michigan University.
